Last outing of the season

Back to peg 87 on the Island Park in Chippenham. Set up 30g feeder for across and 15g feeder for the nearside and a 5g bolo combined with a Vertex 14ft float rod that I was trying out. Feeder mix was my usual punch crumb, likky bread and hemp. Hook bait was 6mm punch and largest flake punch. Had maggots but didn’t use them.
The roach and chub feed and ended up with 4 chub and some nice roach. Caught on both feeder and float. Have to say I was impress3 with the Vertex 14ft float rod. Very nice for the money. A very nice end to the season. Proof pictures below.

I was very pleased. I love river fishing but the close season forces me to have a change which I don’t mind. The river kit goes away and the bream kit comes out for 3-6 months. (Occasionally popping to the canal if I fancy a bit of short pole fishing)
