Heyupp All,

With the river closed season rapidly approaching I am ready to go out and see what I can do after a few months absence from wetting a line.

Can anyone recommend a decent, day ticket river venue that might throw up a few fish?

I live in Pontefract so anywhere within a 50 mile radius will do (daren't go much further in my clapped out motor!)

I'm planning to go on Thursday (according to the weather forecasters it will be a decent day).

So, any help and advice will be most appreciated fellow drowners,

Regards

Andy

Rumour has it that the Leeds DASA ponds at Catterick are fishing well, the match lake has just been restocked with 4000 carp. There's also 2 miles of the River Swale to go at on the same ticket and that is usally good for grayling and chub at this time of year.
