Got 12 Monkeys on DVD (y)

2020-02-06 19.34.22.jpg

Never really got into buying DVDs as I watch/download everything online but love 12 Monkeys and the short film it's based on La Jetee.

Watched The Stranger by Orson Welles recently. Seen a few with Edward G. Robinson recently including Scarlet Street and The Woman in the Window. He's a great actor but wasn't that keen on the Welles film. Series of same name looks good though, loved Stranger Things but have only seen season one. I want a series to watch with my sister as I go there for dinner and to watch a film and series are usually shorter episodes so I'm not up too late as I literally put on a film at 730 and am asleep by the end of it usually.

Watching Hangover Square (1945) at the moment.

Loved watching series with daughter before she moved out. She has loads on her laptop. And I mean loads. She sit with laptop on with headphones on and a adult colouring book. Her way to de stress.
If she like crime/ murder stuff. Mindhunter is class.

All 3 seasons of Twin Peaks kept me and my sister going for a few months. She doesn't always like the stuff I try and make her watch with me but she loved that.

Erm, the past few weeks alone i've watched....

Official secrets (brilliant film and a true story)

Rise of skywalker {ok but a bit long)

Jumanji the next level (funny as f...)

Dolittle (meh it's ok i s'pose)

Selling Isobel/apartment 407 (Brilliant and again a true story!)

1917 (really good)

Angel has fallen (brilliant)

Bad Boys for life (not as funny as the last one)

The gentlemen (ok)

the lighthouse (just plain weird)

Grand Isle (good film)

The great war (really good film)

The Family Way (1967). Set in Bolton. Watched it last night. For me, it was John Mills' best film. "He walks through this 'ouse like its a public convenience."

Not entirely off topic, but are the Matrix films any good? I've heard a bit about them but never got round to watching one.

Only seen the first one. We went to the cinema on a school trip to see it and I think it's a great film. Not seen for years though.

I'll have to have a look on the bay and see if there is a box set going cheap.
