Landing Nets

Hi Folks,
I need a bit of advice regarding landing nets.
After a couple of cracking carp last night, and my first double figure at that (11lb leather ?) I am realising my cheap Amazon telescopic landing net isn’t big enough.
As my local tackle ships aren’t open for browsing, can anyone recommend a net that will handle low double carp but is also not too cumbersome when it comes to bream and other silvers that may require it?
Cost is an issue here, so I am not looking at the £80+ specialist ones that I have seen on Angling Direct.
Cheers

wychwood specimen quick fold net, have a couple of the 30" on order for barbel fishing but they do a smaller 25" version which would be ideal size for 10lb to upper teens carp. only about £25 too.

Make sure you lift fish by the spreader block though as doesn't look massively substantial, but for a £25 net it's to be expected i reckon.

Both, mine is an all in one thing, the handle is a bit flimsy and the rotate to lock when extended doesn’t work, and the net is too small. Apologies, I should have made that clear ?

as a handle i picked up a sonik 3.3m handle from go outdoors for just over 20 quid https://www.gooutdoors.co.uk/15906626/15906626-sonik-commercial-landing-net-handles if you have one near you might be worth looking at, can be used at 2 different lengths
for a net you will get lots of varying answers on makes and sizes, i have a middy 22" net whcih handles most of the fish except for larger mid double figues, they get in there but its a struggle at times

I bought the advanta folding one from AD. It's good value, not that I've put a fish in it yet. I did wait for one of their sales to shave a bit off the price.

Maver Reality 4m for £30. I have used the Abyss X handle, the predecessor of the Reality for a few years.

Dinsmore 18 inch net £12. Go for the 22 inch (£13) if you think mid to high teens are expected regularly. Over 20lb frequently and I would be looking at a specialist carp net

Lift large fish from the water by grasping the spreader block and the handle vertical.

I bought a Middy PowerHandle last year for about £15 and a Map Shake dry net for around the same price.
Have had carp up to about 15lb with no issues in the net and the handle is light and cane with an extension.

I wouldn’t go for a 30” net or anything like that personally unless I was fishing for specimen fish. Far too cumbersome in my opinion.

I’ve got an 18” Preston net which I’ve had carp up to about 15lb in. If you are mostly catching fish around 8-10lb it’s ideal. The handle I use most is a 1.8m greys one which I bought in a sale. I’ve never really felt the need for a longer one for fishing off a platform.

As for the handle I use an NGT 3.3 meter. Its extendable, has 3 "sections". I got mine new for around a tenner ( don't remember exactly ). Ive has double figure carp with it no problem.
As for the net for my specimen carp fishing I use a NGT 42 inch net ( the folding type used with a spreader block ). They are a pain to be honest because of the size but club rules say that is minimum size.
You could use a lot smaller TBH.

I love these style of net because of the shallow design of the net. I find them really nice to use and as you say @Markywhizz will handle decent size fish. Ive used a Team Abu Garcia one that Ive had for years!
