I have the small, elasticated carp feeder that I was told fits inside the large preston method mould, is this right?[:T]

Yes. You have a small hook length, 4ins, with a hair and a kurum quickstop on the end. Put the bait on the hair. Place the bait in the mold, put g/bait in the mold over the balt and press the feeder to form a rounded ball containing the bait. Don't make the g/bait too wet as it sticks to the mold. If it comes off when you cast its too loose and needs to be pressed harder or the g/bait made different.
