Just been to Tullyguide, Sandypoint, Foxholes, and Town Lake, Just for look not fishing. Sat 3 August 16:30
didn`t see many anglers, waters up about 2 feet in depth.
Quite a few roach on the waggler fished up in the water.
Only 2 pegs at sandy point the water is so far up the bank, unless you go right into the trees.
Nobody on townlake.
Tullyguide slow skimmers and roach, only two fishing.

The weather was good, flat calm like a mirror with only the slightest of tow.

The horses name is ....................
Well my 5 year old princes (not) reckons it looks like a Jerremy.
All I know is that it loves apples one after the other.

Lost half me sump at town lake, them small puddles are BIG holes, go slow.
StarWars on the ferry back 4 quid TOP.

Hi Stu, not sure about pearl barley, but I buy 28kilo bags of wheat and it's just over 4quid a bag from a pet shop locally, so wouldn't think the barley would be too much more.

Just a note to say a big thanks to Stu Dav and Scales re their info on Lough Ramor - we all had our best day on there last Wednesday.
(94lbs, 93.5lbs to yours truly, 84lbs, 37lbs and 16lbs)

I'll have some more info and pics to come shortly, but anyone who's going over shortly will have the place to themselves - saw more Irish anglers than English!

Anyone got any info on the state of play regarding the water levels? Have they started to drop off yet or can we expect to find them still up in the fields in September??

Cheers,

Scales.

Hiya Scales

I was in Cootehill from 1st to 9th August, the Dromore system (which flows into the Erne) was about 18" up. Nowhere was unfishable but some of the loughs were a bit trickier to fish than normal.

The landlocked lakes (like Ramor) were maybe 6" up - according to the locals anyway.

I reckon the way the weathers looking it might be about right in September.

Wish I was going again
