Joker as hookbait.

How on earth do you "speed fish" with Joker on the hook. Tried it the first time today(couldn't get any "Bloods"), & whlst I caught it was a right pain getting it on the hook(Kamasan B512/26;B590/24 & Gamakatsu/24's). I reckon for every unburst one, I splattered five!

Hi Mike,

I'm not sure if is still available but many moons ago when I used to use B&J on a regular basis,you could get an artificial bloodworm paste that came in a squeezable tube.
Effectively you squeezed a small length from the tube and used that on the hook and it looked remarkedly like the real thing with the advantage of staying on without bursting. It worked as well []

if you are speed fishing then the easiest was is not to try and pick individual joker out, just get a few and swipe the hook through the bunch and you will have at least one on the hook, also i would suggest trying the drennen ultra fine, very good B&J hook i have found, make sure you use a hook with a long shank cos this help to hook the bait
