Hi all,

There is a possibility you might receive a warning regarding a new virus potentially in your system called jdbgmgr.exe and having the icon of a bear.
These warnings may have been sent in all good faith but are the subject of a previous hoax, see here: http://www.europe.f-secure.com/hoaxes/jdbgmgr.shtml

Regards, Dave

In fact, if you get any email sounding dire warnings about "Microsoft says ...." or "CNN States ..." or "this virus cannot be killed..." or any that demand you pass the warning along to everyone in your address book, you probably have been sent a hoax.

These things are harmless in themselves but at the best they generate a lot of rubbish internet traffic as people pass the "warnings" along to everyone they know and at worst they cause you to delete a normal system file.

So please, if you get a post that sounds strange, take a look at one of the many sites listing currently active hoaxes and see if yours is among them. You might want to bookmark at least one of these (for IE users, add it to your favorites).
