This cottage, which is run as a museum is under threat of closure.
It is the cottage that the father of angling was born and raised in.
The reason for closure is the lack of visitors. So come on boys and girls lets all arrange a visit this year. The entrance is free and the cottage is situated very close To the IW fishery near Stafford so thats 2 reasons for a visit to this area. John

Norm, Izzack Walton author of The Complete Angler circa 1600.

IW is the Izzack Walton fishery just down the road where the next meet of MD members is to be held.

I hope that this answers your questions. John

Only a Welshman would say that, I am sure he is inside centre for Wales. I mean the speed of their centres they could be Izaak Waltons age.

Showdown very soon.

Alan,
you are a mine of information, but you got 1 thing badly wrong!

When Walton died, they did not discover , but speculated that intelligent life COULD exist in Wales.

Further studies down the years since have come up with no concrete evidence of this!

Regards

But Peter, unfortunately the sheep he saw were South Downs. (kent) He hadn't met the Welsh variety. They were all at Twickenham - losing again.
