The Shannon-Erne link (formally known as the Woodford River) flows through Ballinamore, its all lock controlled now and either doesn't flow at all or only moves very slowly.

Theres some pegs been developed near the golfcourse I understand (out of the town on the road to Carrick I think).

Canal holds all the normal Irish species although I think you'll be lucky to get any decent sized bream out of it.

You can get a navigation map from Ballinamore that shows the location of all the locks and access points.
