Unless you are running Windows XP or Internet Explorer 6 the chances are when you installed an ISP CD or if an ISP came pre-installed on your PC the encryption strenght for secure sites will be only 40bit this is still better than no encyption but you can do a whole lot better and protect your credit card details.
Microsoft provide the updates you need to enable 128bit cypher strenght. To find out what cypher strenght you are currently using click on "help" (if you have used F11 to enable full screen you will need to click F11 again to see the help menu) then click "about internet explorer"
