Lid, excellent idea and I have now modified the forum files and database so that I can add additional FAQ's when they crop up.
In there you now have additional instruction on how to include a photo into your posts and your profile.
Also I've included the good, old favourite about receiving hundreds of unwanted emails - as i still get asked that now and again
SLAB, If you've added the wrong file type don't worry as this will be removed when the database is checked
There is a perfectly good reason for this.Every 100,000 bytes takes approximately 1 minute to load on a 56k modem assuming theres a good connection.
Also everytime someone takes a look at a page with them in, the total number of bytes for the page and photos is called the bandwidth.
If the page is viewed often and the total file size is huge then it's not long before you effectively use up a large chunk of bandwidth which in turn slows the page down when it loads.
Periodicaly Admin will be running a maintainance program on the database which will delete files over a set size (60,000 bytes)
If your pictures are over that they will be deleted so please make an effort to keep them somewhere close to the suggested sizes as a lot of these photo's are far to good to be lost.
