I would suggest either a palomar or grinner knot to tie braid to a swivel. As to hook length I use ordinary nylon or dacron myself. If this is the first time with braid may I make a few suggestions.
1 Ensure clutch is set correctly even if the prefered method is to back wind.
2 Ensure no tangles around rod tip/reel when casting
3 Do not allow rod top to drop so a straight pull is allowed when playing fish
4 Braid has no strength if a shock load is applied I have cracked off on 15lb braid.
Remember braid has between 0-5% stretch where as nylon as 20-30% stretch.

chill out go fishing

hi larry
one other important thing when you get a bite do not strike
or this will rip the hook from the fishes mouth
just lift into the fish
all the best
