Hi folks

Just wondered if anyone out there might possibly please be able to shed any light on whether the attached fish could possibly be a Crucian Carp. Caught from a water that is said to contain some Crucians - although I haven't seen any others yet from the water in question.

Many thanks.

Definitely looks like a crucian to me... are there any possible contaminants like f1s or brown goldfish in the water?

Looks like a crucial to me although it’s been a while since I’ve had one in the hand

No other F1s or Brown Goldfish that I know of in the water in question.

Caught - as part of a mixed species catch - on light waggler tactics and double maggot on a size 18 barbless.

1lbs 10oz in weight - and a new PB!

Many thanks for all your replies - much appreciated.

Tight Lines!

You can sometimes tell when you're playing a Crusian the way it fights. I don't know how to explain but it jigs if that's a word :)

Spot on. Feels like they’re trying to headbutt the lake bed over and over… 😃

Like me when the missus says “you earn the money, of course buy what you need”

Only to question a payment on the bank account two days later to a tackle shop 😜
