Arrived at a deserted Pilsworth match lake at 3 p.m. today.
First thing I noticed was the water level was down by about 2 foot.
Eric later told me he is doing some repairs so had to drop the level.
Went round to my favourite peg and got the pole out.
Proceeded to plummet around the peg to try to find some depth.
Managed to find about 2 foot right in the middle.[:0]
Potted in some chop worm and VDE soft feed pellets to kick off and went over it with maggot to see what there was in the peg.
Soon had a run of gudgeon on maggot so switched to worm.
This did the trick and the bream ,up to about a pound, came one after another.
This was followed by a good Ide of 2 1/2lb.
More Ide and Bream followed and later in the day I had my biggest Ide at 3lb 4oz;
Cheers
Phil
