Ice fishing

Just back from stroll down the lakes.
Talking to a member who had a run and nice fish (only run of day) and we noticed a sheet of ice moving across the breeze at a reasonable rate.
Day ticket angler had only gone and hooked it - oh we took the pee

The ice was against reeds and peg in picture

I lost a pike when it came to the surface and hooked the ice on top. Had to reel in the huge sheet to get the hooks back. Only bite I had that day
