has anyone used the new hydro elastic and what if any is the difference between it and standard laggy

hiya steve, i tried it last year and did not like it.

for fishing in open water it is pretty good, the white was excellent for skimmers/roach/crucians, it is soft enough not to bump any fish but has enough power to tame match carp and tench.

the black, again is ok in open water and once you get used to the stretch is pretty good.

but were it fails imo, is with the ammount of stretch, if you fish near a feature (reeds/lilly etc) then more often than not, the fish will have time to reach safety because the stuff stretch's for b****y miles.

i went back to my usual "normal" stuff cos i have more confidence in it.

that only my opinion, on the other hand, my missus prefers it and does not want to change it.

I think that it has too much stretch in it,and yes I know its meant to.
Try fishing in a snaggy water and see what happens[;)]
