how to tie your own pike deadbait wire traces

Pike fishing can be made really cheap by making your own traces from scratch. Most of the elements can be recycled and put on your next trace you make such as hooks, sleeves and swivels.

Good video Danny i dont use crimps for bottom hook,form a loop and push it through eye and over hook then twist wire down a few turns then back up.Save a few quid.

sorry neil i usually add the comment notification on to the posts i forgot with this one. Glad the video helped out mate and you found it useful. Last season was a killer for me as the carbo flex i used in this video they stopped making!!

spent last year finding alternatives but this year went back to fox and the 49 strand new stuff, i was annoyed at the price hike to 15 quid tbh, can say i have had no issues with the new stuff and traces do last alot longer. although wire is more temperamental as you have to heat it before cutting to seal ends.
