How to post photo's in threads ?

This may be the wrong forum but what's the normal way to post images ?, I've always uploaded the images to my webpage and linked to them but I've noticed some other pics seem to be hosted on Maggotdrowning.

Andy look at the top of the page you will see my photo click on there and follow the instructions,,, its that easy even i can do it LoL,, AND THATS SAYING SOME THING[:I][:I]
