How to Clean a Pole or Whip

Can anyone tell me how to clean a pole or whip after use ,as mine all seem to have a white calcium water marks which I cant get rid of.

try a non perfumed baby wipe, though Dennis "Fatha" White swears by white top kits[:D]

Furniture polish, also makes shipping in and out easier, and water runs straight off!

Brasem, do you reckon furniture polish on a rod would stop line stick problems? I had some trouble on the river today when the heavens opened for an hour and a half and I was struggling to get the stickfloat to go through due to the line clinging to the blank.

Hey Benji, Did you know that Detol is toxic to fish and lots of other animals? best not to use it on anything that comes in touch with the water .

just use baby wipes thats what i use and my pole sections and it gives it a nice shine as well

I clean mine with son of a gun silicone spray, the same stuff lubricates elastic too.For inside the pole sections I use bottle cleaning brushes fixed onto a thin bamboo cane....simple and easy.
