I've got less tackle than i had, but i've bought Barbel gear. Save for Tench i've sort of lost interest in stillwater fishing
Sold off things like TDR Distance, TDR 4012, Ultegra 5500 CI4's, Cast'izm QDA and my Tourny SLR, MAP Parabolix, and instead ended up with Shimmy 5500 LC baitrunners and 2 Greys prodigy 12ft 2lb Barbel rods plus things like Greys tacklebase rucksacks and the boxes to go with them, speci landing net and 3m handle, plus all the terminal tackle.
Can still go to a stillwater if i fancy it, still got my Yank n Bank and my float rod, but only because i'd get bugger all for them
There's probably about another 4 or 5 rods I'd like plus at least another 2 reels before I'd feel fully covered but I dont foresee getting more than half those this year given all the uncertainty in the world at the moment.
I'm just waiting for my annual vouchers & I'll be ordering new luggage and possibly a covered side tray. I'll probably get Amazon vouchers because Total Fishing accept them as payment as well as Amazon. I'd get Bobco but they're out of stock of everything I want.
11' Barbel. 1.75 tc.
2 X 12' Pike/Carp 2.5 tc.
11' Avon 1.25 tc.
11' JW Avon travel 1.25 tc.
11' float 12 oz tc.
13' float 9 oz tc.
7' 6" medium life.
6' light lure.
All have reels to match plus unknown centre pin and two "spare" Shakespeare 2500 size reels.
Updated my list rod and reel wise just as something to do whilst I'm bored. Probably some more stuff sitting around as well. Even I'm not sad enough to work out luggage and terminal tackle!
So I've got as follows
13ft drennan acolyte ultra float
13ft cadence CR10 #1 float
10ft daiwa ninja float
11ft drennan acolyte ultra feeder
10ft Shakespeare Mach wand feeder
8-10ft tfgear compact all rounder
11ft John Wilson Avon/quiver travel
8ft korum snapper drop shot
8ft Leeda spinning of some sort
Drennan 7 series float 300 RD
Drennan 7 series feeder 400 RD
Shimano Sahara 2500 RD
Daiwa Ninja 2500 FD
Cadence CS7 4000 FD
TFGear match/feeder 300 RD
Shimano 2000 FD think a sienna
A centre pin of some sort
7ft6 12-20lb daiwa saltist braid special downtide boat
7ft6 6-12lb Shimano vegence slim downtide boat
8-9ft 15-40g shimano ax-stc exage travel spinning
6ft6 6-15lb ugly stick travel spinning
7ft Penn overseas pro I think 20-30lb travel.
Pflueger president 350 FD
3 multipliers from Abu, penn and finor of which I have no idea of the models without looking.
4M Garbolino 158 tele whip
Then stuff I'd still like to get to feel fully equipped as follows in rough order of priority, those beyond the first couple are fairly pipe dream at the moment with all the uncertainty in the world.
14ft drennan acolyte ultra float paired with another drennan 7 series 300 float
11ft 1.25tc drennan twin duo paired with a drennan 7 series 450 big feeder or 400 bait runner
8ft 14-42g daiwa saltist travel spinning and wouldn't mind pairing it with a 300 to 400 daiwa sea spinning reel of some sort
7ft 20lb penn regiment travel boat maybe with a reel as most my multipliers are ancient, or even an fixed spool.
15ft Cadence CR10 #0 float maybe with a matching CS4 or CS5 to be a tackle tart but probably not in reality
10ft Shimano Aernos Float, that ones a guess as not seen one yet!
7ft 2-7g HTO rockfish rover travel spinning
22 rods and 19 reels. Several of which need to be sold as were in job lots and I have no use for them and several of them are vintage and I don't really use, a few I have never used! This is coarse, lure and fly gear as I'm a freshwater all rounder. If I lived near the coast I'd have sea gear as well and be even more skint.
Making a list of these things shows to highlight what you have too many of and what you need - I need a short 9ft feeder rod for roving small rivers for starters!
I have so much gear that only my fly and lure tackle (and wormery) lives in the garage at home, the coarse gear is way more bulky with holdalls and seat box etc and so I built a special cupboard for it at my workplace which it is rapidly outgrowing. Bait fridge-freezer is there also, as is all the heavy duty clobber for sitting on the bank in winter.
And now I have bought myself a thirteen ft Jon boat (flat bottomed aluminium boat), with a 2.3 hp Honda and a suitable trailer to go with it. And I'm busily debating with myself what size of Garmin Echomap device I should buy, and exactly what transducer I need to go with it.
