Hi everyone, here's a poser ....

With Day Tickets offering a maximum of 3 rods at some fisheries, do you need 2 Rod & line licences as they only cover you for 2 rods

Yes Stu, the basic rule is 2 rods per licence for coarse fish. so 3 or 4 rods requires 2 licences and 5 or 6 requires 3
5 you ask?
Well how about the Pike Angler with a Quad pod containing 4 dead baits and a feeder out for livebait?
He needs 3 licences.
One of the Zippy curses I missed on Sunday!!!!
EA came round checking licences! (At a Charity do DOH!}
Where was mine? You guessed it, In my coarse box seat in Chesterfield!
Where is it now?
On its way to Guildford, with the Official warning letter!
I only get 7 days to produce, or face fine, so I hope 1st class is good!
Cost me an sae for return too!
Watch me get asked for it on Thursday!
Moral folks! avoid the zippy curse and always carry your licence

Hi Trev
you should have asked him to blow in on his walki talki
all you do is give him name address no problem
or show him your drivers licence,
or you could make a note of licence number
and stick it inside your glove compartment
but you should not have to send it away
you could have phoned the number through when you got home
i think he was being awkard

Well Dave, He had an official form, with all the instructions on it, like a Parking ticket lol.
After he'd written down my reason, he asked my name and address, but never asked for proof, although the form did have tick boxes for Proof of ID, Drivig Licence etc.
Finally lol, he had to recite me an Official Caution, outlining the fines etc. if they didnt get it in 7 days!
But, the guy was pleasant enough and It was no sweat, cos I do have a licence!
ESOX thought about stitching me up by calling me Fred, or saying that "You dont live there", but decided it was a long Walk Home LOL.
Anyway, It's not a prob to me, just a normal part of the Zippy Curse!

Cheers

Trev

Hi Trev, I can't remember if we still get that little rip off, the one for just incase we loose our licence, if we do it might be worth taking that on Thursday to prove that you have a licence, ...

Good luck Thursday

hi pj
no you dont get the rip off slip but it tells you to make a note of your number
in case you lose your licence then they would replace
it for 3, tightlines dave.

Hi all
You do need two licenses for three rods, but the real question is:

Should the license run from the end of March or from the date of purchase until the same date next year

I think it should run from the date of purchase.

What do you think?..

Waxi and all
100%
but there are 3 Questions now!
Yes Wayne
1) I was ripped off from Oct. to Mar 31st, cos I bought then and full price
2) No PJ , no tear off slip, because I bought over the internet! at Full price doh!. However, you do get an e-mail receipt that serves as a no. reminder until you get your licence by post, so I can take that!
3) I am entitled to get a disabled licence at 1/2 price I believe, but yeah, you guessed it NOT if you buy over the internet, 'cos they need physical proof at time of getting licence!
Ever heard of the Zippy Curse?

The Edits a PS for PJ, Yeah, increase is 21 from 20 for next year! no comment!

Hi Trev,

I'm disable as well, all they really need is proof on paper i.e orange/blue badge, disabillity living allowance book etc..
With it being a national organisation with goverment directives, you'd of thought that they would be able to check if your disabled or not by you just giving in your book no. or if there was one personal id no.
This would make the process a lot easier for you and many more like us.

With us going to IW on 31st March do we need to take our old license with us or will our new license be good enough
cheers Peter

Yes Peter, but you cant show your Orange badge via the Internet, which is why they wont allow you to obtain anything other than an ordinary licence by that method.
Ran off my receipt copy, to take with me in case of the curse tomorrow and it states, "valid until 31/03/2002, expiry 23.59pm".
So, you should be OK , but don't fish in to April 1st!! (Thats April Fools day! Think I'll stay in bed!)

Cheers

PJ,

If you go to IW on 31st March you will have missed us all by a day. We are going on the Saturday 30th.

I do believe we can buy a new licence for the oncoming year before 1 April. I hope so cos otherwise I can't fish until 2nd cos all post offices are closed on the Monday 1st April
