If youre looking for somewhere to stay that wont break the bank and is in a nice area where you can have a wander round and relax and enjoy a decent bite in nice surroundings then have a look at the Travelodge in St Annes, I;m assuming you have a motor as its about 3 miles outside (south) of Blackpool but in a real nice area, its where the golf Open is held and the Open seniors was there just the other week
If you get the Premier at the airport you'll find it a bit noisy as the helicopter shuttle service for the gas rigs is just behind it, the Premier at Blackpool East stands at the edge of an industrial estate with a pretty poor pub at the side and a B&Q opposite
The Travelodge just outside the Pleasure Beach can get a bit lively and the big screen on the prom beams into the rooms all night, OK if you can get away with the light show but not so good for poor sleepers and the parking spaces are at a premium
If you want to push the boat out a bit then The Big Blue Hotel is worth a look but the new Boulevard Hotel next to the Big Blue is something else, very well done and tasteful decor and brand new, got some family rooms too so works out much cheaper, worth checking the Boulevard out especially if the wife prefers to stay somewhere nice
