Malc,

It seams to me you can still "jinx" the people from our summer series. Is that Steve and Scott just below you? and you guys managed less than half the weight of the next man.

I hope to see you all at Issaccs

Ans is there anybody out there that can tell me 1 simple straight forweard way to fish a canal? ive bin told 1 good method is single pinkie on a 22. loosefeeding a cloudy grounbait that's bin put through a riddle a few times and spray squatts.(mayb u can help with that scott

stop worrying about Izaaks!!! [:D]

its very much like Moorlands with rudd up in the water and carp on the deck

your a good meat angler and id suggest you LOOSE FEED riddled meat over an initial big cup and switch between a full depth rig (punched meat, cut up cat meat, soft pellets and corn) and a shallow rig with the same hookbaits or a single maggot for the rudd.

as for canals, it depends on what the canal is like

are you after 1 to 3lbs of small roach and or gudgeon?

are you looking at 5 - 15lbs of roach and skimmers?

both require different aproaches.

Malcs a VERY GOOD canal angler (dont belive him when he says he isnt!) but if you let me know what the canals like i'll give you my 10ps worth

as for how many are comming on the 12th, still only 7 [V]

By the way scott i just wish that i can visit peg 50 of little tara again at browning cudmore.
. All usaid that i fished well on the day but all that i can say it was the peg i was on the day. Cause any1 of u who had sat on the peg would have done 100lb+. u only had to look under that tree to the left of the peg to c what commotion was goin on with them carp.

Lee,

If you fish there again I think you will be very lonely - just you and the fish.

Hi everyone,

For the record Malc I fished meat.
I spent 4.5 hrs down the inside lines for about 20 fish
and the rest of the match at the far bank and had another 15 fish
(one a drop in).
I dropped a proverbial by not fishing the far bank from the off!

Enjoyed it never the less as did Andy.

Still getting over the fact that a fish jumping out of my net
on Saturday cost me a second place finish at Woodlands @Thirsk.
To make matters worse it was my best fish @around 7 to 8lb
and I ended up with 76lb 13oz beaten by several anglers with
upper 70 odd lb's and a 99lb odd. Gutted, I am.

Glenn.
