Hilton Lakes Near Ingleby Barwick

I fished Hilton lakes last night with my son and we had a good busy 3.5 hours.
If you dont mind catching lots of small fish you cant go far wrong in fishing here.
Between us we must have caught just short of 100 fish in the 3.5 hours we were there.

The lakes are stocked with carp, tench, roach and skimmer bream upto about 2lb albiet most are about 4" - 8".

Were both lakes fishing about the same?
Is it seven or eight feet deep as I've heard rumoured?

Keep meaning to go and have a wander round now they're open.

Only fished the first lake so cant really comment although i told that both are fishing the same. The first 3 meters on both lakes are supposed to be about 3 foot deep then they drop off to about 8 feet.
