Tried this recipe and thought I should share it with you all

Try this Brandy Cake for Christmas
Ingredients.
1 cup of sugar 1 cup of butter
1 cup of dried fruit 1 cup of brown sugar
4 large eggs 1 teaspoon of baking powder
1 tspn salt lemon juice
and 1 bottle of Brandy

Method
1. Sample the Brandy and check for quality.

2. Take a large bowl. Check the Brandy to be sure it is of the highest quality.

3. Pour one level cup and drink. Repeat

4. turn on the electric mixer. Beat one cup of butter and beat again. Make sure the Brandy is still OK.

5. cry another tup. Turn off the mixer. Break 2 leggs and add to bowl, then chuck in the cup of dried fruit. Mix on the turner.if the fruit gets stuck in the beaters, pry it loose with a drawscriver.
Sample the Brandy again for tonsisticity.

3. Next sift 2 cups of salt, or something , who cares?
Check the brandy

6. Now sift the lemon juice and strain the nuts. Add one babblespoon of brown sugar, or whatever colour you can find. Wix well.

10. Grease the oven. Turn the cake pan to 360 gradees. Do not forget to
beat off the turner. Throw the bowl out of the window. Check the
Brandy again and go to bed.

Whiskey is a very good alternative to Brandy. Dont be afraid to experiment with recipes.

Dave ... it depends on wether it is a large cake... or as some would make... FAIRY CAKES.

As for the mince pies I make them large ( as in Desperate Dan style)
I also have a good way of cooking a perfect chicken!!!!

Fantastic Brian![:D] [:D]

I'm still at work along with three of my guys. We've all been making do with about 5 hours sleep a day since Friday [:(], as we are working flat-out to deliver a customer's project (we work for an IT company).

As you can imagine tempers have been getting frayed and everybody is getting stressed out.

I just sent your recipe to them in an Email, and they all went into fits - one almost choked, and he's the NON-DRINKER!

Thanks, it's broken the tension a bit.

Oh well, back to reality [V], we've still got a lot to do before the client can start testing it on Monday - I've even cancelled an overnight fishing session planned for this Friday. Still, at least taking a few minutes each day to catch up with the latest postings reminds me what I'm going to miss.
