hiya all, just put up a report on the "where have ya fished" bit.

the problem is....

i typed up report and posted 3 photos with it, the photos were all seperated by paragraphs and spaces left above and below the pics, but when i posted it the first time....

the photos came out joined together? and half of the report was missing??

any ideas???

It might be something to do with the size of your photo files and your internet bandwidth not displaying the page properly because it takes too long. It's possible your PC may be short on memory too.

When composing such reports, don't forget to keep saving it (on a clipboard, or write it in Word first) and use preview to see how it's going.

Another alternative is to ask some-one else to do it for you. I think Dave offered previously. Alternatively you could e-mail me all the text and tell me the image numbers you loaded into MD's and I'd happily try and post it for you. My e-mail is leighton@colegrave.info

The problem is associated with the file size of the photos combined with the amount of text included in the report.
There is a 'time out' in the post.asp file that handles the post entry and if this is exceeded then only a partial post will appear.
The length of time it takes is dependant on your internet connection speed/bandwidth

As Martin says, try seperating the photos with a little text as this does help - as to why or how, don't ask me lol

did that, put a full paragraph between pics.

did get a time out error, reduced all pics and then it let me post, but as i said, only half of report and pics together.

would i have to reduce the photos even more?

Hi Ray,
I've taken the liberty of adding your photo's into your post for you[;)].
Hope i've got them in something like the right order.[:)]

If you use the "edit" facility in your post you can add the pics after.

Peter.
