I've been invited to try a virgin pool tomorrow, new fish from roach to large carp (10lb plus).

I'm allowed to give anything a try so long as its not cat meat or trout pellets.

Will be having fun whilst thinking of you lot []

Gonna enjoy this, oh & for your info i've already asked if we can hold a fish-in on it but thats got a bit more discussion to be had.

best part is you litteraly come of the M6 at J14 & you're there []

Nah mate.

Only took small stuff nothing worth weighing or photographing. []

Had a couple of screamers but they dropped the bait as soon as i struck,(guess they've got to get used to being caught []) had a beut of a tinca around the 10 oz mark but it should be a great fish when its bigger.

Very pale green though, in fact it was as if it was a silver fish & it was reflecting the green of the grass.

Well worth the trip (except for getting stuck in the mud for the first two hours on the field but i got out n carried on instead of turning around (well i figured you'd only get stuck once).

Anyway i've got some great pics of the pool but i haven't DL'd from the camera yet so you'll have to wait. []

All in all it was a good day & should be a great pool once it starts getting some use , there's another delivery of large Tinca's, Cyp's & Snotties going in on tuesday so i might have to have another trip out there soon []

If we could have arranged the section 30 & some way of moving them we could have had a load of the silver fish for sammy's & for free but with such short notice there's no way we could have done anything, so Andy did a deal on his new stock (they have the small stuff & he gets a discount on the new stuff) shame we missed out there []
