It had been almost a year since i last pulled a gudgeon out from the depths when suddenly, when polefishing a couple of weeks back at the glade, in my favourite swim of the public side, under an overhanging willow tree, i had 4 of these little blighters out in a row. I only took a pic of the biggest one but i was over the moon [:D]

The 'umble gudgeon, well worth catching on some days, another small fish I enjoy catching is the dace.

I caught a few this weekend too[:D] i love the texture of them, i want to do a john wilson, he went to a canal with a whip and was gudgeon bashing for hours and utting them in a bucket he had a bucketfull in no time, there great[:D]
