Does anyone know how the reservoir at Hartleylands is fishing at the moment.
I've got a club match there next week and could do with a few tips as i've never fished it.
Thanks
Peter.

The last thing that I heard was matches were been won on pole using small cubes of luncheon meat fished just off the bottom. This method was catching the carp which averaged 3-5lbs.
You could give them a ring, I think the number is 01580 720319 and have a word with them

Good luck- Tim

Hi all,
Well despite a near gale and driving rain,(the sort that blows straight under the brolly and soaks everything) I managed to catch 25 small carp on the feeder for a weight of 26lbs 14ozs,which got me 5th place, all the leading weights came from the opposite end of the lake.Nice venue though and i'll definately be going again.

Geesh Peter,

That's better than I managed. I took one look at the weather forcast and decided I'd be better off decorating the kitchen

Well done Peter,
Its better than me. I was battered by the wind, soaked by the rain, licked by the water and came home minus the brolly

Anyone know of a place to buy a good, stong brolly???

Tim,
Don't know about the brolly but invest in a solid alloy brolly pole from Gardener. They come with a T-bar and can be screwed into any bank firmly, wont bend and wont snap, half the battle with brollies is getting them anchored firmly.
Cheers,
Peter
