hair rig help

can i use a hair rig for normal float fishing,what benifits if any would this make, mainly fishing bottom but could this be used mid water wanna hair rig dry pellets corn ect.want to try this bank hols.cheers

I wouldn't use it mid water, it's best used on the bottom, in fact I think it's the only way you can use it, but I maybe wrong. Hair rigs on the float are best used for Tench, Bream and Tench all bottom feeding fish.

rick, to put it simply a hair rig is aimed at fish that inhale the bait, carp, bream, tench etc.

this means as they inhale the bait the hook hooks them.

it can be used at any depth. it just depends on the target species for example dont use it for roach [:)]

mainly carp im going for anyway tench bream if im lucky cheers for the info least i can give it a try[:)]

yer u cn use hair rigs on the float which anglers was it that showed you could use it for foat fishing but he used it on a hair pin catching all them carp
