Picked up a small joblot of tackle off marketplace Friday including a Preston hooklength box so I thought I’d get organised and make up a shed load ready for the coming warm weather.

I‘ve tied plenty of hooks with banded hairs and find the having the top of the band touching the bottom of the hook bend works perfectly for me but amidst the joblot were several packs of quick stops and tool for them.

I‘m guessing I will have to decide in advance what baits I will use before I can set the hair length or is there an “average” hair length people use that will suit a range of baits.

My thoughts were I could use cubes of meat, boilies, multiple grains of corn or drilled large pellets with the stops and stay with bands for smaller pellets or wafters.

That’s a perfect video - many thanks.

Was watching the 2016 Fisho final today and Alan Scotthorne was bank runner for his wife who appears to be a formidable angler too.
