Stan Haigh took the match from peg 224 in the Hunters section with 7lb 2oz. This was made up of a large bream and few backing roach which he took on pole feeder and maggot in the flooded conditions. The Aldwark section also fished hard and it was Ian Courtney who ended up taking the section with just 2lb 2oz 8 drams. This comprised of mainly roach on the pole feeder, fishing worms. Our thanks to Dave Miles for running the match in such tricky conditions. RESULTS: 1. Stan Haigh 7lb 2oz 2. Dave Pollitt 2lb 7oz 3. Ian Courtney 2lb 2oz 8 drams QUALIFIERS: Stan Haigh and Ian Courtney Next Qualifier: Sat 12th October, River Trent- Burton Joyce (changed from Burton on Trent).
