I’ve used the QM1’s and the MWG’s for a few years I’ve only had one bad batch (16’s) where I had problems with the hooklength snapping. I’ve fished them from 20m to 60m. Are your feeders free running or elastcated? Sometimes the feeder bouncing causes the hook hold to fail.

The problem I have with pre-tied hook lengths is the breaking strain of line used.

I fish the waggler with 4lb main line and a 3lb hooklength to a size 14.

The pre-tied hook lengths with size 14 hooks are normally in the 6-7lb range, which kind of defeats the object of using a hooklength for me.
It's possible to get hooks to lower breaking strains, but tying your own gives you much more flexibility, I mainly use pre tied now but only because I now find it difficult.

Can l suggest that you make a list of all the hooklengths you normally use and this winter tie a bloody load up. Warm, in good light, at a table and you have 3 months to tie them, cause that's what l do.🙄
