Documentary on BT Sport 2 10:30 tonight charting the life of this legend of the game.

For those too young to know he was THE leading goalscorer of his generation and still holds some records.

"Holder of most of the real records is in fact Jimmy Greaves. He scored 357 goals in 516 league matches between 1957 and 1972 for Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United, which is actually 74 more goals than Shearer in 43 fewer games."

"James Peter Greaves (born 20 February 1940) is a former England international footballer who played as a forward. He is England's fourth highest international goalscorer (44 goals), Tottenham Hotspur's highest ever goalscorer (266 goals), the highest goalscorer in the history of English top-flight football (357 goals), and has also scored more hat-tricks (six) for England than anyone else. He finished as the First Division's top scorer in six seasons.

Reasons for any football fan to watch.

Without doubt England’s greatest striker. Often he would pass the ball into the net. Imagine him playing on the surfaces we have today. He would have cost a fortune, great humble man as well
Respect Jimmy
