Been asking myself the same question. Some people seem to love him, but for the life of me I can't figure out why. The bloke is just not funny. He just makes me cringe, but not in the same way that Alan Partridge or David Brent does (with humour).
Too camp, irritating voice and on the box WAY too much.
its has nothing to do with being gay,its just that i dont find them funny thats all.
i think barrymore should be locked up for lying in court, taking drugs.
ive worked with lots of gay people and its never been an issue, its about if they could do the job or not.
.. but make sure you have your Pop-up stopper activated first
Homophobia Alison ??
Nope can't see much of that on here besides we wouldn't allow it - each to their own as I'd say.
The only irratating thing I find with GN is his overtly camp attitude which in my opinion is acted out to the full for the sake of the cameras. I also know that quite a few gay men find him offensive and frown upon what they see as his exploitation of his sexuality and worry that he gives an incorrect stereotypical label to gays.
i watched a tv program about chingle hall.paul crone (granada reports)stayed there one night with a group of friends.
they were literally scared s***less next morning when the camera crew turned up.
in fact none of them would be interviewed inside the hall they were that terrified.
i once visited muncaster castle in cumbria which gave me the creeps when walking round it.it certainly has a strange prescence in a few of the rooms.
as for spending the night at chingle hall i would "just love it" as kein keegan might say
