I’ve posted about my inconsistent feeder casting over the last few weeks. That’s with a method/hybrid feeder with hookbait safely buried.

Now I’ve got to worry about about a 20inch tail swinging loose off the bottom of the feeder, sounds like a recipe for disaster to me😂😂

Will definitely give it a go though, I’ve just bought 4 cage feeders so will have at least 4 chucks throughout the day👍👍
I’d struggle to get 4 of my cage feeders in my carryall

Just reading through the rules is there any reason I can’t fish a helicopter rig as long as I use a long enough hook length? Would a pva bag on the hook be infringing the rules?

Absolutely not!:eek:....Stick to a running cage/maggot feeder/20 inch hook length(below your chosen feeder) or you'll feel the wrath of Roy!:devilish::devilish:

As @Total said. Roy has a hide, from which he likes to shoot pests, vermin and non compliers. Keep your rigs simple and free running, with at least 20” below the feeder and you won’t get yourself (or me) shot. 😆

Well went for a play at my local, clipped up at 40m with a twizzled boom, cage feeder and a 2ft hook length, with a bayonet and wafter. Caught a few, in fairness the bites were still plenty savage enough. Only thing I did notice if the fish headed for the weed, they seemed to unhook themselves easier.

If the warm weather (for this time of year anyway) holds for another couple of weeks, we should have a decent day. Where’s your local Ben?

Ashby park just outside of Horncastle, seven lakes to choose from, all stocked differently. It’s residents and season ticket holders only so it’s very friendly.

It can be the flyer on its day… as long as that day isn’t in October 😆
It’s as fair as can be Chris, it should be a good match and any team can win it.

I’m not bothered about winning, I just like fishing the Glebe. I did join one year but never went. Think if I fished there every week I’d get bored, so I just fish the charity matches in May.
