Venue: Lake 1 - The Glebe
Date: Saturday 23rd October 2021.

Mystery Teams match with 6 x teams of 3 anglers.

In true Maggotdrowners spirit, the match will be as fair as possible for all abilities and a staggering 60% of you lucky anglers will go home with some dosh. Format:

3 x sections of 6 anglers, 1 member from each team in each section.

Section A: 1, 2, 4, 5, 7, 8
Section B: 11, 13, 15, 17, 19, 20
Section C: 22, 24, 25, 27, 28, 30

  • Each angler MUST weigh in as the winning teams will be decided on points. In the event of a tie on points - total TEAM weight
  • Maesknoll is running a Superpools for anyone interested.

This leaves us with £180 to pay out to the top 3 teams, as follows:
  • 1st £90 (£30 each)
  • 2nd £60 (£20 each)
  • 3rd £30 (£10 each)

Draw 08.45am prompt outside the marquee… if you’re late, we’ll tell you what peg you’re on. If you don’t know where the fishery is, postcode is LE9 7RF or let me know via PM and I’ll send you directions.

Fishing 11 til 4pm to give everyone chance to get to there pegs and set up comfortably. If everyone’s ready before 11am, I’ll call the ‘all in!’ so we can fish a bit longer.

2 sets of scales, 1 set will be on peg 30, weighing peg 30 down to 17.
Second set on peg 15, weighing pegs 15 down to 1 (Pegs 1 & 2 cannot weigh in on compassionate grounds).
Any help with weighing in greatly appreciated - the quicker we weigh in, the quicker we can tot up the team results and payout.

Yes please. I'm not a commercial angler, but I've never fished the Glebe and would like to give it a go.

Edit; And I'm going to fish the pork pie match as well.

No problem-o Arch (instantly recognisable by the big hair but that may change now he can get it cut!)
The beauty of the teams of 3 format is that you have 2 teammates to help you bud... glad to have you on it (y)

Only down the road for me, drove past it many a time, but never fished it. Looking forward to it.

I don’t understand why you lot always book these matches so late in the year, when the weather will probably be $hit , and the fishing hit and miss 💁‍♂️💁‍♂️

It's a venue I've never fished and I'm pretty sure that Dave hasn't either, so it'll be nice to fish somewhere new to us. :upthumb:
