Reports are a bit thin on the the ground at the moment,but heres what i have.....Portumna Angling Centre...Weather has been pleaseant lately Kevin Grant from York fished the town stretch and Lough Derg average bags of 40lbs to 60lbs every day consisting of hybrids and roach on the river,and bream on the lake. Simon Collins fron York fished Lough Dergs northern shores and had bags of between 25lbs and 95lbs every day. Clive Westlake from Barnsley fished the town stretch at Portumna and Lough Derg and averaged 40lbs to 60lbs with a best weight of 100lbs of Bream from Dergs northern shores.Fishing is inconsistant,switching on and off,but hit the right place at the right time and good bage are possible.Anglers are generally thin on the ground at present.P.D.Green and four friends fished the river Shannon at Banagher for one week and had bags of 50lbs 30lbs 37lbs and 48lbs mostly Roach,using Feeder tactics. In county Monaghan Castle Lake in Rossmore Park Tench to 4lbs are reported, at Drumreaske Lake,Rudd/Bream hybrids to 3.5lbs and also Roach to 1.5lbs.
