Hi all

visited a new venue for us on Saturday. A place called Gaywoods Fishery. It is first exit off the M25 (head for Kings Langley), at first roundabout turn right and it is first left.

It is a lake of 8-10 acres with an island in the middle. There were a lot of Carp anglers there on Saturday so is obviously popular.

Started off at around 8am fishing with maggot on the float. Caught a number of 1/2lb to 1lb Perch, small Gudgeon and baby Barbel.(rumour has it there are some large Barbel in there though!) Tried paste after first 2-3 hours but only caught 1 perch. Then tried luncheon meat and only caught 1 small Gudgeon. Went back onto maggot and started catching again. No monsters but was kept busy most of the day.

Worth a try Matt, I'm sure if I can catch there then anybody can!![:D]

Day tickets were 7 for 2 rods.

I must say however that I spoke to quite a few anglers who said it was the slowest day they had had yet. Obviously we picked just the right spot!![8D]
