I've gone through several boxes of old papers/cuttings and this is what I have; Enjoy!

Brilliant Mark and thank you for downloading these gems. Just skimming through these and I recognise and remember so many!

It's quite ironic that you should be posting the articles just now as our club, Coors AC has just held its annual charity match in memory of Frank on the Trent in Burton. It's a well supported match (think 70 fished this year), organised by Dean and Wayne Swinscoe.... Not sure of the final figure raised, which goes off to the Nottingham hospital, but I think it was around £1,400.
I believe it's 25 years since Frank passed and Dean was perhaps a little more emotional than normal this time and he is always amazed at the anglers generosity...they may be a little rough around the edges but they are all good hearted and remember both the man and his articles fondly.

Is that Coors as in Molson Coors? The Coors rep who comes to see me is a keen angler.

Yes it is..surprised he's not heard of us...! The club has been around a long time (was Bass Angling back before the brewery was sold to Coors, although were not really associated with the brewery in any more than history and name now.......we have most of the fishing rights on the Trent throughout Burton, a small lake and a long section of the Trent and Mersey canal. Apart from the Frank Barlow match we also hold a 3 day festival, a riverfest qualifier and a series of Drennan sponsored matches and grand final.
We have a web site and a Facebook page so perhaps mention it to him next time you see him...might not be his style of fishing, but we can always do with more members or folk wishing to fish the matches....🤗

I enjoy reading the reports of those matches on drennan fb as it’s quite reminiscent of the style of matches here and seems consistently good fishing 👍
