Whatever the motives respect to the chap for making the effort.
If successful and it potentially resolves tech issues and brings solice to the families then great.

Totally agree, if you don't seek, you don't find.

I've actually been following this guys story since he first made his claim....i've checked out the google map of the area and even i've got to say...you can see the damage left in the trees where the plane has crashed along/through them and the plane sure does look like a modern jet and not a world war two plane like some of the "specialists" are claiming.

If you type Phnom Aoral into google maps the plane is pretty easy to find... X ... marks the spot ;)

Once you've found it and zoomed in, you can see the damage to the trees caused by the plane.

More chance of it being Coshida than Cosha (kosher) ☺

Wonder if a tribe of pygmy head hunters have set up home in it yet.

That's why so many people want it found, i reckon there was something seriously dodgy onboard which caused the crash, governments shift stuff in secret all the time and if it causes problems they are going to want no witnesses...... where better to cover up than to bury it under trees!!

If it's crash landed into a tree canopy the chances are the wings would have been ripped off and the debris strewn over a large area. Satellite imagery would not only trace the tree damage but all the debris.
Unless the plane had VTOL of course ?

soooo what you are saying is that they must have carried the aircraft to the location in packing crates, assembled it and then somehow created a "crash line" just to fool satellite imagery?

Then again, the plane could have come in at a shallow controlled glide, glided over the trees untill it finally lost lift and litteraly dropped to the ground, of course not all aircraft lose wings etc when crashing through tree tops etc it all depends upon what the canopy is made up of and if their wings strike hard ground with enough force to snap them.

And on landing the plane cut a perfect black square beneath it and all foliage miraculously disappeared. ☺

ahhh right, i haven't got any sat images that are that precise, i can only zoom in as far as google lets me so i'll have to bow down to your much better system that can zoom a lot closer than google can and keep it so clear you can see what is on the floor around the plane.

At times, people see what they want to see. People generally love a mystery, they love trying to explain it even more. However, once a half decent conspiracy theory gets going, many will simply refuse to accept any evidence that might debunk it.
