Hi all, Tommoro im off with my cousin fishing and i have read a couple of articles saying curry powder of maggots is a MUST!!!
So 10 mins a go i went to my local corner shop and asked he siad the closest is PAPRIKA is that ok???????/
Personally I've never curried a maggot but have heard a few good reports on them but mainly as a summer bait on hard fished waters, just giving the edge.
One flavour that I found does work really well though is Vanilla Essence, the sort that comes in a bottle for baking. Add a few drops to your maggots before going fishing and you'll find that they can be quite deadly.
If you're river fishing, then use Tumeric, it de-greases the maggots as well as adding flavour, so that they fall quicker in the water. Only problem is that you're hands are orange at the end of a session.
