Yes Dave but would they turn up. Would they even answer an email as they havent answered all the others I sent to ask about my order [:0]

It is actually a Daiwa Rod so it most likely came from Hallcroft to cover FRs inept stocking levels [:T]

Legally I guess if you keep the rod it may be theft, morally I'd have thought your best option would be to contact FR ( no mean feat in itself if you follow this thread !! ) explain the situation and offer to let them arrange to collect the rod back from you AT A TIME

THAT SUITS YOU in all honesty I can't see them bothering but at least you have a record stating that you allow them to rectify their mistake, can't be theft anymore IMHO

if FR reply to your email offer to have the rod collected give them say 3 alternative dates and times stating you will only hand the rod over yourself and will expect a signed receipt, if they collect the rod fair enough you've lost nothing if not you can't be held at fault .............

I suppose really what you have to ask is do you still want it?
If the answer is no, contact them to arrange collection of it as legally it's still their property.
If you want to keep it contact them and offer them payment for it.

My wife ordered 4 items from this shower 4 weeks ago, trying to give me some great Christmas presents, bless her, but is still waiting for them. Has has numerous email and phone conversations with them but still nothing. Today, after slating them on Facebook, she was given a priority customer rating. Was then told, yet again, they are waiting for stock from another store!! Is it loaded on a snail?? Of course it isnt, one of the items is a Map X4 trolley, no stock anywhere so it isnt coming from another store is it!! If only she had asked me whether to order from them I would have said definitely not but she was trying so hard to surprise and treat me. Charlatans the lot of them [:(]

I feel your pain mate.

Full of lame excuses, taking people for mugs. I'm letting my card company & Trading Standards deal with them now. They're an absolute disgrace.

Oh well, the saga continues. The credit provider (Divido), as I bought on interest free credit, is on the case, fobbing off emails from FR supplied.
They have been very helpful, apparently not happy, but cannot get a reply from FR, so what chance have I?

I just popped into fishing republic to look at tackle and guns magazine but guess what ? YES it was out of stock like half the stuff on the web site.

Thought I'd better put my positive response as I was nearly put off using them, having read all the negatives.

I bought a Preston Innovations Offbox 36 Pro Feeder Arm for 34.99 10 cheaper than my local tackle shop and would have bought it from there as usual but couldn't turn this offer down.

I ordered it Sunday and it arrived Tuesday :) even had a TX from the courier with a 2 hour window for delivery. You can't ask for better than that.

Their complete lack of customer relations are not a bother when they have it in stock and nothing goes wrong.
It is the rest of the time that they do not apparently give a do do.

What on Earth has the availability of a trade magazine within one of their stores got to do with them as a business?
C'mon, lets be fair, I received my copy of T&Gs this morning, fair enough it might have been delivered yesterday as I wasn't at the office, all the same ....
