Took hours to catch 3 small roach - then to satisfy my curiosity i banged em back out for the pike,,,, and had 3 fish in 15 minutes

Being a fishing nut - holding down a job and having two small children can make it difficult to get out for regular fishing sessions

Out on the ocean wave SIB fishing from Rossall Beach near Clevelys on the Blackpool and Fylde coast. We had a great time catching lots of different species of fish

Out species hunting again -- back to freshwater this time -- I managed to bag two more species in one trip ... one of them an easy standard UK fish the other ...... well click and have a read... (but don't forget your mat)

Bitterling and Bream - Fishing Fiend

Fishing for Bitterling quite a rare fish in the UK and I also managed to catch a nice Bream from Pollys Flash. Bream and Bitterling are both fish which I haven't caught yet this season

I Smelt A Record But Let It Go - Fishing Fiend

A short fishing session off the Oil Jetty Pier at Caernarfon saw me catch a potential record Sand Smelt, I only realised the next day but rarely weigh fish so wasn't really too worried about missing out on the record books

Moving over to the dark side for a bit of carp fishing results in 5 consecutive blank sessions !! -- on a lake where i can catch fish for fun on conventional tactics -- pineapple pop ups, 15mm pellets and wafters are all going in the bin and the jolly green giant is comeback king
