OK Thomas, I'm just up the road in Chesterfield, Let me know where you fish and I can perhaps give you some alternatives! Do you prefer Rivers, or Stillwaters or like me, try em all

Yeah, Thomas, know em both, but only looked at Tibbi Ponds.
At Higham, I prefer the far right small lake as yoo look at the waters from the car park.
Counting anti clockwise, the 2nd lake over the little bridge.
Fish far bank, fairly shallow on you left hand side, but you can catch crucians and small carp all day long in summer. Harder this time of year as everywhere.
Wingerworth, try the Lido, In the Centre, next to the pub, day ticket (only 2 I think,) but it may be more now.
My favourite is Press Manor at Wingerworth.32 pegs, try peg 7 for barbel, Carp to 10lb + and Bream to 8lb 4 although Ive only had to 3 , Roach to 2lb (again not me yet!)
Catch perch, gudgeon, skimmers, crucians ,roach , rudd, all day .
Click on http://www.press-manor-fishery.inuk.com 3.00 d.t.
Sherwood Lakes, Nr Edwinstowe, bit further, but not very far.
4 big Lakes, mostly Carp, but lota silvers and keepnets allowed on 1 of the lakes, click on
http://www.sherwoodfishery.com

Have a look and get back to me if you like, I'll join you at 1 of these and we can see!
Good Luck

hi trev i fished that lake not to bad had a 2 lb cruician carp

Tibbi ponds is good for this time of weather . i use the feeder this time of year and tibshelf is good as there are some nice perch from 1/2 lb to a 1lb on these tatics but when they stop they stop . thats when i go around the back of the reed bed on the big pond and switch to a float youre sure to get a bite or two .
