The temp's were up today, but so was the river levels, infact the levels were to high for me to float fish and so I had to use a leger set up. I used a harrisons chimera no2 which is supposed to be about 1.75 test, and a shimano X aero 4000 which is a small'ish baitrunner.
I had high hopes of catching a few barbel with the rise in temp's, but I only had chub. I finnished up with eight average sized fish, so nothing to get excited about.
I can't reallly complain as I only fished for an hour and a half, and luckily I didn't blank on opening day
