25 deckboards x 27 screws per board = lots of screwing

I've done about 40%, time for a break, a little fishing tomorrow and then back to more screwing.

Some of us older MDs would love a good session screwing[:p][:p] [}:)]

the last deck i built had over 1200 screws in the top planks alone without even thinking about what went into the framing, thank the lord for decent power drivers!!!!

I have one or two electric tools... but after all the framing out and stuff, it still gets to be a bit of a drag. Still, Boddingtons tomorrow (hopefully).

Indeed they do... but a bit pricey for a one-off DIY project. There's also powernailers... but I cant bear to use nails on such things.

Avoid decking at all costs, it encourages rats and other vermin to breed like wildfire!

What you need to hire is a young son/cousin/nephew or similar that likes using power tools and will do the lot for a 10 note.
