Ever used Antares Silk Shock as reel line?

Im in the process of buying 4 lines for a new reel Ive got and Im a little puzzled by which line to buy!.
What I have gone for so far is.
1) Shaky Omni 4lb line.
2)Drennan Double strength 7lb line.
3) which now?
4) which now?
What Ive got is a Shakpeare Mach 3 front drag reel with 4 spools and I intend to use it for nothing really heavy but would like to use it for feeder fishing (nothing fancy mind )
General float fishing.
A bit of Pellet Waggler fishing.
Ive looked on Shimanos website and it makes reference to Continental matchman used the 150mtr spools of Antares Silk Shock as a reel line!
Has anyone on here ever tried this line, other than for pole rigs ( I use it for rigs and find it very good )
Its not cheap at 6.99 but if its good I dont mind spending the money.

I use silk shock for hooklengths but for reel lines i use,
Maxima or braid for feeder work, daiwa matchwinner for float fishing.

silk shock is a very versatile line, it is high-tec mono which means it has far less stretch than ordinary mono which can be useful on the reel. it does however mean it can be more prone to abrasion damage in a bagging scenario than traditional tough old mono.

i just used some on a reel as a last resort and it seems ok. i prefer maxima but yeah it works...
