Hey when i go! I use 15 or 20lb wire size 8 or 10 swivels and 6,8,10 treble hooks depending on the bait used. Also the other items mentioned by Norm [;)]

Hi Teepee, at the moment livebaiting is stiil O.K if allowed at the venue.
However, the trend looks like it could be banned before long, they've started a livebait ban in the Lake District and I feel it is only a matter of time before the ban extends further afield.

I use semi barbless trebles size 6 and 8 depending on bait size. Or VB doubles again in size 6 and 8. I WOULD ALSO SUGGEST THAT All traces be a minimum 15 inches 300mm, and terminate with a strong swivel. The only things missing from tools is a pair of good quality wire cutters and a deep throat disgorger. For a beginer at piking a leather or thick rubber glove may prove an advantage. Nearly forgot the unhooking mat. Pike are very delicate fish and will not withstand rough handling.

chill out go fishing

hi tony
sorry 6my mistake i got you muddled up with someone else.
i was in a rush this morning as i had to pick my new toy up
babs told me that she was fed up with the smell of nets & flys hatching in the car so i had to clean it every time i got back from fishing , so i told her i had to go fishing in something as the MOT had run out on my escort estate & so if she wasnt happy ide give her the bus fare to do the shopping or she could buy me another motor.
So to my supprise she brought me a small 1985 4x4 suzuki van & said thats my early xmas present WELL what could i say
